The N°10 water jug from the Manufacture de Digoin, with its matt, glazed stoneware finish, embodies raw, authentic charm. A true symbol of French craftsmanship, this ‘pichet’ or ‘broc’ has a natural place on every table, whether at home, indoors or outdoors, in restaurants or cafés. Its 1L capacity is ideal for serving drinks. Of course, it can also be used as a vase, as a beautiful decorative object.
The water jug is dishwasher-safe, so it's quick and easy to clean after each use.
Long considered more noble than terracotta, stoneware was particularly fashionable in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The legendary stoneware body, produced entirely in the Manufacture's workshops, is made from natural mineral materials originating in France (Burgundy, Auvergne, Charente, Île-de-France). Fired at a high temperature (1250°C), the glazed pieces are watertight, strong and unalterable, making them ideal for storing food without transmitting odours.
MANUFACTURE DE DIGOIN - Grès & Poteries was originally a family-run company
founded in 1875 on the banks of the Canal du Centre in Burgundy.
For almost 150 years, its craftsmen have been creating stoneware pottery for cooking and horticulture,
with the aim of perpetuating their legendary expertise.
Each piece is unique, as they are all moulded and glazed by hand.
The MANUFACTURE DE DIGOIN is a LIVING HERITAGE COMPANY.
Handmade in France and sustainable.
