Spatula Ash oiled small size
Benjamin FOUCAUD
Product description
The Ash Spatula small size, hand-carved, is the versatile tool that every cook needs! Soft and round, it will preserve all the coatings of your cooking dishes.
Ash is an emblematic tree of the French forests. Both flexible and resistant, it has been used since prehistoric times to make tools. Each tree used has been cut locally (Picardy) and selected by the workshop. Each piece of wood is taken from local species that are not used by industry, and at the precise moment of the first cut, each piece of wood gives a basic shape that makes each spatula a unique object.
The longevity of this spatula is guaranteed by the use of a traditional technique: stavework. Hand-carved in "merrains" (wooden boards cut with an axe in the direction of the wood to respect its structure). This is how wine and cognac barrels, but also wooden tiles, were given a longevity and resistance ranging from 50 years to a century, without any treatment.
Then it is finished with an organic linseed oil. Intended for daily use and, with a few precautions*, it will serve you a lifetime in your kitchen and add a sensory experience of lightness and softness.
Precautions :
- do not put in the dishwasher, simply rinse with water and wipe immediately with a cloth.
- do not wash with aggressive household products.
- do not soak in boiling water
- take 1 minute, at least once a year, to oil them with an oil for utensils (available at most kitchen equipment stores)
100% French and sustainable.
