This set of candles is composed of 20 candles (diam 0.8 to 1cm x 30cm) of plain or assorted colors.
The subtle and delicate colors of these candles are unique creations of the House PECHAVY. They exist in :
- Rosewood (different shade of rose)
- Hortense (white),
- Eugénie (grey),
- Original (celadon and English green),
- Carbone (black),
- Terracotta (tonka + English green + tobacco)
- Josephine (green),
- Gismonda (yellow)
The candles are made by the Ciergerie de Prémontrés. The last candle factory in Provence, it has existed since 1858. It has an ancestral know-how and always manufactures these candles "with the plunge" to obtain conical candle (thinner at the top). Thus,the cotton wicks are arranged in a U shape on wooden sticks, fixed on frames and then dipped in the wax. The colour pigments are sprinkled in the melted wax. The wax used is a combination of edible paraffin and high quality vegetable wax which does not drip, burns slowly and does not emit smoke.
MAISON PECHAVY is a young house created in 2019, in the heart of southwest France, by Carine PECHAVY. Through this gesture, she wanted to celebrate the centenary of the family wood trading business, pay tribute to the family know-how and celebrate the French art of living inscribed around the warmth of the home.
