Product description

The Brocca pitcher is timeless. It makes a lasting impression as soon as you see it. Its rounded, graphic lines make it a unique object. Pitcher, of course, but also vase and decorative object in its own right. It's a classic, a landmark in the Manufacture's history.

Handcrafted in the Manufacture's own workshops, it is a fine tribute to the company's tradition and exceptional expertise. It's made of stoneware.

Long considered more noble than terracotta, stoneware was particularly fashionable in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The legendary stoneware body, made entirely in the Manufacture's workshops, is derived from natural mineral materials originating in France (Burgundy, Auvergne, Charente, Île-de-France). Firing the pieces at a high temperature (1250°C) contributes to the glazed pieces' qualities of impermeability, strength and inalterability, making them ideal for storing food without transmitting odors.

Charolles 1844 is an artisanal company whose history began in 1844, in the town of Charolles in Burgundy. For over 175 years, its craftsmen have been creating exceptional earthenware, a subtle blend of traditional know-how and innovation.
Each piece is unique because it is molded and glazed by hand.

Charolles 1844 is a Living Heritage Company.

100% made in France and sustainable.
