Product description

The Beech Spatula, hand-carved, is the essential accessory for all cooks! Very light and easy to handle, it will preserve the integrity of the coatings of all your cooking dishes.

Beech is one of the main species of the French forests, it is even called "king of the forests"! Its wood is widely used in the manufacture of many objects and utensils. Its fine and short grain makes it an easy wood to work. Each tree used has been cut locally (Picardy) and selected by the workshop. Each piece of wood is taken from local species that are not used by the industry. At the precise moment of the first cut, each piece of wood will give a basic shape that will make each spatula a unique object.

The longevity of this spatula is guaranteed by the use of a traditional technique: stavework. Hand-carved in "merrains" (wooden boards cut with an axe in the direction of the wood to respect its structure). This is how wine and cognac barrels, but also wooden tiles, were given a longevity and resistance ranging from 50 years to a century, without any treatment.

Then it is finished with an organic linseed oil. Intended for daily use and, with a few precautions*, it will serve you a lifetime in your kitchen and add a sensory experience of lightness and softness.

Precautions :

- do not put in the dishwasher, simply rinse with water and wipe immediately with a cloth.

- do not wash with aggressive household products.

- do not soak in boiling water

- take 1 minute, at least once a year, to oil them with an oil for utensils (available at most kitchen equipment stores)

100% French and eco-responsible.
